In the summer of 2007 Wendy and I each had a desire to attend a seminar on adoption. When we share the desire to each other we realized that the other was thinking the same thing.
We prayed and waited until January to begin the journey and see where God would lead us. We decided that we wanted to go through the Foster-to-Adopt system in order to find the child that God has planned for our family and not go internationally.
In August of 2008 when we were in the final week of our classes we received a call from a single mother who asked us if we would be interested in providing a home for her twin 22 month old boys. We quickly told her that we would be honored to take custody of the boys and work on the process to adopt the boys.
Which is where we are today. Jeffrey and Andrew came into our home on Tuesday, September 9th. We have quickly grown attached to the boys and they are part of our family. We are still waiting and working on the adoption process which can take up to 7-10 months. Please be praying for the boys, their parents, us and the extended family of the boys. This is obviously a very hard decision that the parents made and they need to personally confirm it.
